The evil Dr. Robotnik is restless! In desperation, he created something sinister for Sonic. Help our blue hedgehog defeat him again in this cool ROM hack - Robotnik Returns. This hack features a complete overhaul of the original game. It features many gameplay changes, including changes in the game mechanic, new layout, new artwork, new zones, and many more.

With the evil Doctor's plan, thwarted by our blue superhero. Robotnik Returns features more ideas from our villain. Getting confused and enraged, he goes back to his old files and discovers those are much better! As you pull your schemes and give Sonic a run for his money, bear escaping Robotnik's evil plans. Robotnik Returns lures Sonic back to South Island, the doctor's old base. Most ruins are torn because of the time spent between games, but Robotnik has other plans. Robotnik Returns gives you the modifications of Robotnik. Green Hill Zone was protected by a Chaos Emerald and was left behind. Items will feature television monitors to give you rings, shields, invincibility, and speed shoes. You can still collect all six Chaos emeralds. You can do this by removing the spike, giving sonic ten rings when starting a new zone, an entry on the hidden place, and activating five monitors. Zones include Lazy Field, Construction, Technopolis, Pollutant, Scarp Brain, Scrapped Ruin, Final, and the Hidden Palace Zone. Each Zone has specific enemies that you have to avoid not to lose any of your Rings. The game has the same mechanics as other Sonic games, do not lose all of your rings, or you would start over. Put on your running shoes, as this could get fast. Like really fast.
