The King of Fighters ’98 is a Neo Geo arcade game and is the fifth installation of the KoF series. Praised as the best KOF game of the time, The King of Fighters ’98 features no plot and is advertised as a special edition game. This installment features most of the characters who appeared in the previous games (’94- ’97) regardless of whether they were killed of in the series. Thus, players will now have the opportunity to add Rugal, as well as various alternate versions of other characters in their party.

Only one player mode is available.
