Metal Slug X is an upgraded version of Metal Slug 2 and was released in 1999 for the Neo Geo arcade system. Metal Slug X addressed all problems found on the previous title and introduced new elements into the game. The game now features added time of day cycle, players becoming fat from eating too much food items, increased general difficulty, more power-ups, and environmental changes.
