Game Overview
Return to Isla Nublar and stop the BioSyn invasion in this action-packed side-scrolling shooter for the SNES – Jurassic Park 2! Take control of Dr. Alan Grant, choose your missions, and protect the island’s dinosaurs from the mercenaries who want to destroy what is left of the park!
Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues is a side-scrolling run-and-gun action video game developed and published by Ocean Software and released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994. The story continues after the events of the first film: the rival corporation BioSyn has sent its soldiers to Isla Nublar to take over the island. As Dr. Alan Grant, your goal is to fight back the BioSyn troops, complete every mission, and keep the surviving dinosaurs alive. A second player can join the action as the commando Michael Wolfskin, so you can clear the levels together with a friend.
Instead of following a fixed order of stages, you pick your next mission from a list, and new emergency missions can appear after you finish a level. You can use three lethal weapons – a rifle, a machine gun, and a shotgun – and three non-lethal weapons – a stun gun, a tranquilizer gun, and a gas grenade launcher. Be careful with your firepower: if you kill too many dinosaurs with lethal rounds, the game is over. Only the Tyrannosaurus rex and the raptors can be taken down with deadly force without that penalty.
Save your lethal weapons for the BioSyn soldiers and switch to the non-lethal ones whenever a dinosaur blocks your path. Learn the layout of each mission, watch out for raptors jumping out of the jungle, and keep an eye on the mission list for urgent tasks. The game runs right in your desktop browser through the SNES emulator, so no download or installation is needed. Good luck and have fun!
