Buck Rogers – Countdown to Doomsday is a strategy role-playing video game released back in 1990 for the Sega Genesis and MegaDrive gaming consoles. At the start of the game, you are tasked of assembling six heroes from a choice of five classes; Rocketjock, Warrior, Medic, and Engineer. There are also six races to choose from; Human, Desert Runner, Tinker, Venusian, Martian, and Mercurian – each having their own unique traits and ability. The game is centered around a longstanding war between Earth and Mars and revolves around this never-ending conflict.
