Space Invaders – The Original Game (or simply Space Invaders SNES) is the SNES port of the two-dimensional shooting arcade game released originally released back in 1978 by Tomohiro Nishikado. The objective of the game is to defeat a wave of space invaders trying to descend on your world. Move horizontally as you shoot and avoid the enemies one at a time until you eliminate five rows of eleven invaders. As you deplete their numbers, their descending move becomes faster. A new wave of invaders will automatically appear after you phase out the last wave, a loop that can continue without end. Try to survive in the battle for as long as you can in order to earn higher points as you set a new record. Have fun!
