Konami Krazy Racers

Konami Krazy Racers is a GBA launch title kart racer developed by KCEK featuring 12 drivers from Konami franchises including Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, TwinBee, and Gradius. The game runs at a locked 60fps on the GBA’s native 240×160 screen using a Mode 7-style pseudo-3D renderer. Blue bells give a deterministic turbo burst every time; red bells deliver a randomised weapon payload. Coins collected during races fund permanent stat upgrades that carry across the full tournament bracket.

Advanced cups are locked behind the License Center — standalone time trials, slalom runs, and countdown challenges that cannot be bypassed by race wins or coin upgrades. The slalom challenge without wall contact is effectively the game’s tutorial for the power-slide drift timing required on hairpin-heavy advanced circuits. Completing it before attempting higher cups makes the subsequent races significantly more manageable.
