Subway Surfer Beijing is part of the Subway Surfer World Tour series. Like any other game in the series, the game starts with the player vandalizing illegally - only to be caught red-handed. The player must then run away from authority and travel as far away as possible while collecting coins and avoiding obstacles. Collect the letters B, R, O, N, and X to get the game's bonus and earn extra points.

The game features several single-use power-ups that you can purchase with coins. The power-ups are:

• Hoverboard - Protects yourself from crashing for 30 seconds. Costs 300 gold coins each.
• Mystery Box - Instantly opens a mystery box that randomly contains various objects—costs 500 Gold.
• Score Booster - Increases multiplier for one run by 5. It stacks up three times. Costs 3,000 Gold.
• Headstart - Costs 2,000 Gold. Skips the initial phase of the game. It can stack up to 3 times.

The game also features four different kinds of upgrades that will last indefinitely. These upgrades are Jetpack, Super Sneakers, Coin Magnet, and 2x Multiplier. Each upgrade increases the duration of the power-up of the same name if you manage to get one while playing.
