Red Hot Sonic 2

Another Sonic game, you say? Nope, Red Hot Sonic 2 provides you with palette changes, different level layouts, and new art.

Players were given a new ability to walk through walls opening new avenues for you to finish the game. Blue not really your color. Now sonic comes in red or plays as his sidekick Tails as you move through levels with the same goal as previous games. Collect rings, working like other Sonic games. Rings will give you the option to start on the same part of the level where you might have hit an obstacle. Destroy enemies with Sonic’s go-to moves, the spin and jump attack. Use jump pads to collect power-ups through tv monitors. Time and rings collected still show up on the left-hand side of the screen. The game gives you controls that are accessible and simplistic. No need to memorize complicated buttons to play the game. Missed a collectible? Trace your steps back and not miss a single beat. Use the environment to your advantage as you dash through hoops. Levels are named nonsensically, Hidden Palace Zone is named as Crystalize, but no crystals are present in the level. So if the ordinary levels do not appeal to you, why not bask in the mundane and try Red Hot Sonic 2.
