Enchanted Cave 2

Enchanted Cave 2 is a roguelike dungeon crawler by Dustin Auxier spanning 100 randomly generated floors. Standard items are cursed and lost when you exit — only Escape Wings found in chests and golden-bordered Artifact items survive the surface return alongside your accumulated gold and XP. Armor subtracts directly from enemy base attack power, so stacking defense past an enemy’s attack value reduces all incoming physical damage to zero.

The Transmute spell costs exactly 25 Mana and converts any cursed item into a permanent Artifact — making it the game’s most important spell. Before using Escape Wings, scan your full inventory and Transmute the highest-value items you’re carrying. Health does not regenerate between combats, so every potion is a permanent resource. Treat them as irreplaceable, and only use one when health drops below 30%.
