Play as Mao Mao, a bipedal cat adorned in red armor and black overalls, a cat samurai! Along with your happy go lucky partner Badgerclops, you must protect the people of Pure Heart Valley from Monsters and everything in between. Two modes are available at the beginning of the game, Endless and Story Mode. In Endless mode, you go to the dungeon levels, fighting various enemy types. Accompanied by another character of the series, Adorabat. Flying beside you while you hack and slash. Pick up power-ups and coins. Food once picked up, regenerates your health. Pouches add more to Adorabat’s health bar. Yellow Mao Mao coins give you a short stint of Invincibility as you go crazy on them enemies. Story Mode has twenty levels, which unlock after you finished each one and meeting the objectives. Both modes give you a lucky spin try, which gives you a starting power up. Whether it's coins or food to equip you better in the field, upgrades can also be bought, with four that you can choose from, Damage, Defense, Gold Form, and Attract. Damage, as the name suggests, increases the output of your katana, defense gives you a little bit more room in taking damage, Gold form increases the length of time you stay invincible, and attract gives googly eyes to Adorabat and seems to move characters to you. So get ready for another flawless victory where I did everything right.
