Turrican is an early side-scrolling action platformer video game that was released back in 1990 for the Turbo Grafx-16. The game tells the story of the lost colony called Alterra and a bio-engineered warrior who is ordered to do something very difficult. In this game, your goal is to eliminate all hostile organisms in Alterra’s five multi-level world. The game was pretty popular at the time and has spawned a couple of sequels afterward.
