Elite Chess is a single-player virtual strategy game based on the international chess board game. The game follows all the rules of the original board game with additional professional rules. In this turn-based game, your goal is to win against an AI opponent to increase your rank and fight even smarter AIs. You may even have a match against other players who are online and on the same rank! Start as a rookie and climb your way up to the ranks. A game of chess can be won in three different ways: Checkmate, Resignation, and Win on Time. The game features a total of three different modes. Each mode changes how quick a game can be by limiting the players' time in their turn. The three modes are: Classic (Green Clock, starts with 10-12 min), Bullet (Yellow Bullet, 1-2 min), and Blitz (Orange Lightning icon, 3-5 min).

The Bullet mode is the most difficult of the three as it gives you very little time to think. It's best to think about your moves in advance and anticipate the enemy's moves. When facing against AI opponent, this mode is extremely challenging to gain a rank on. Each mode has a separate ranking system that is divided into several levels from Bronze to Diamond.
